This layered approach emphasizes Antakya as a palimpsest city, revealing its historical layers and highlighting the continuous impact of these disasters on the city's fabric. Research is detailed by maps, archival photographs, oral history and historic letters to bring a comprehensive view of earthquakes throughout the time of Antakya.

You can see a list of earhquakes that had damaged Antakya through the times and by clicking on the dates, you can see the sources and read parts of the letters of eye wittnesses.
